Welcome to term 5 in Beech class! I hope you had a lovely break and enjoyed the sunshine!
This term we will be learning about the Romans. We will look at the rise of their army and the invasion of England, as well as what life in England would have been like before the invasion. Next term, we will look more at the impact of the Romans on life in this country.
In English, we will be reading a book called 'Down With the Romans' which is the story of Boudicca and her resistance to the Roman invasion. We will focus on story writing this term and further work on sentence structure and description.
At the beginning of term, our maths learning will look at adding and subtracting amounts of money, as well as giving change.
We will continue going swimming on Thursday. Our PE session will be indoors on a Wednesday following our PE scheme focusing on balancing skills. Please remember suitable kit for both of these sessions, including a change of shoes for PE.
We will be visiting Caerleon in Wales at the very beginning of term 6 so letters will come home this term with more information on that.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Have a good term!
