Welcome to Term 5!
We hope you had a lovely break and are looking forward to all of the fun learning we have planned for this term. Click here to view our topic web.
Our enquiry this term is ''What living things would you find in habitats around the UK?' In our Geography lessons we will be developing our map skills. In science, we will focus on living things around us and what things are important for them to survive.
Our key authors this term are Rhonda and David Armitage. They wrote many stories including 'The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch.' If you have any of their books at home, it would be great if you could share them with the class.
During English this term we will be focussing on the story ’''The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch' We will use the story to inspire our writing and produce stories linked to the text. We will also use the story to write instructions. Throughout the term we will be recapping forms of punctuation, conjunctions, commas in a list, sentence types and introduce new grammar. We will link our DT learning to our story and create lunchboxes for Mr Grinling.
In Maths we will be developing our understanding and recap all of the skills we have learnt this year. Starting with tally and bar charts.
Please come and speak to me if you have any questions.
