Welcome back! It's term 5 and our amazing new play area is finally ready!
This term is just 5 weeks long but we have lots of exciting learning to do before Sports day at the end of term.
In English we will be reading books from The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch series of books by Ronda and David Armitage. The Armitages are our authors of the term, so if you have any books by Ronda or David at home please bring them into share. We will use the books to inspire our own stories. As well as coming up with letter and persuasive writing related to the book. In reading we will focus on our inference skills and considering the order of a text - make sure you're reading at home everyday.
In Maths we will focus on reasoning, developing skills to demonstrate our understanding of number. We will also be practising our times tables to make sure we can recall them quickly. In Science we will look at animal lifecycles and habitats.
Linked to the book our this term's enquiry question is 'Can you keep Mr Grinling's lunch safe?' Check out the topic web to see what else we will be doing.
Let's have an amazing term!
