Welcome to Term 4!
We hope you had a lovely break and are looking forward to all of the fun learning we have planned for this term. Click hereto view our topic web.
Our enquiry this term is ''Investigate Eastville - What was life like in Eastville during WW2?’ In our History and Geography lessons we will be exploring WW2 and thinking about what Eastville was like during the war. During DT lessons we will look at ration recipies and maybe even make a few!
Our key author this term is Raymond Briggs. He wrote many stories including The Snowman and Ethel and Ernest. If you have any of their books at home, it would be great if you could share them with the class.
During English this term we will be focussing onthe story ’'Ethel and Ernest.' We will use the story to inspire our writing and produce letters in role as evacues. We will also use the style of the story to create our own comic strips and stories.Throughout the term we will be recapping forms of punctuation, conjunctions, commas in a list, sentence types and introduce new grammar.
In Maths we will bedeveloping our understanding of fractions of shape and amounts. This will include recognising 1/2 , 1/4 , 2/4 , 3/4 , 1/3 and 2/3. We will then move on to money and measurment as well as recapping some previous skills.
Keep up the great work!
