Welcome to Term 6!
We hope you had a lovely break and are looking forward to all of the fun learning we have planned for this term. Click here to view our topic web.
Our enquiry this term is ''What is the same and different in our world?' In our Geography lessons we will be developing our map skills and comparing Bristol to Australia. In science, we will focus on plants what things are important for them to survive. We will focus on Art as a key subject this term and get busy creating some aboriginal art pieces.
Our key authors this term are Rhonda and David Armitage. They wrote many stories including 'The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch.' If you have any of their books at home, it would be great if you could share them with the class.
During English this term we will be focussing onthe story 'The Rainbow Bird.' We will use the story to inspire our writing and produce stories linked to the text. We will also use the story to write instructions. We will compare the story to other traditional tales that we know.
In Maths we will bedeveloping our understanding and recap all of the skills we have learnt this year. Starting with addition and subtraction.
Keep up the great work!
