Coronavirus Information

Dear parents, we are now open to all children and are following the system of controls to keep everyone safe. This is following the latest advice and guidance issued by the Department for Education and Public Health England.

Home learning will be provided for all children needing to isolate. Teachers will post daily on Google Classroom for each year group. There will be an English, Maths and curriculum lesson each day. The curriculum lesson will vary each day to try and provide the broad curriculum we usually enjoy at school.

If your child is included in one of the groups attending school:

  • All children must be dropped off at and collected from the correct entrance at the correct time. You must stick to these times so that we can maintain social distancing for adults.

  • Please also maintain social distancing when you are at your designated area. If everyone is on time there should not be too much waiting around.

  • Please wear a face covering if you would like to speak to a school adult.

  • Please also ensure you are on time to collect your child. Late collection of your child will jeopardise everyone’s safety.

Catch Up Premium

The Department for Education has made extra funds avaiable for schools to support children's learning when returning to school after lockdown. This 'Catch Up' Premium is funded on a per pupil basis at £80 per pupil. Glenfrome will be in receipt of a total of just over £33,000 paid in three instalments over the 2020-21 academic year. Schools are able to decide to spend this money in the way that best supports their pupils. To support schools to make the best use of this funding, the Education Endowment Fund has published a support guide for schools with evidence based approaches to enable all pupils to catch up.
