This adapted space includes its own therapy room, sensory room, bespoke outdoor provision as well as three well equipped classrooms (Poppy, Dandelion and Clover groups).
Children have access to a high quality school curriculum which has been adapted from the National Curriculum and EYFS. The curriculum educates the children at their stage of development. The strands that permeate the curriculum: Independence, Communication, Social and Emotional, Sensory and Physical and Cognition provide the children with skills for lifelong learning. More information can be found on our curriculum overview.
Children from the Resource Base are seen as being integral members of the school community and their provision is designed to be unique to them, taking into account their own needs and interests.
All children in the Resource Base will be linked to a class in the mainstream school and where appropriate, they will be included in activities, trips and visits.
Parents and carers can apply for a place at the Resource Base through the SEND team at Bristol City Council. Children need to have an Education, Health and Care plan with a primary need of ASC or Speech Language and Communication Need. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer provision to children wishing to move from our mainstream classes to the resource base unless they have been offered a place through the Local Authority SEND team.
If your child has been offered a place at the Resource Base please contact our school SENDCo to discuss transition arrangements.
Presently, Our Resource Base is at full capacity and the children are thriving. If you would like to enquire further about the Resource Base, please call the school office to sign up for one of our tours for a potential future place.
