Moving a child mid year?

If you would like to move your child mid year, all the information you need is here.

If you apply online please check that you have actually submitted your form. If it’s submitted successfully you will receive an email confirmation from School Admissions acknowledging receipt of your application.

Transition to secondary school

We strongly recommend you visit schools with your child to help you both decide on which schools are best suited to your child. Each school will have open days you can attend. You can choose three preferences so it would be beneficial to have three schools in mind when applying.

All applications for secondary school places must be completed by the end of October. This is to be done online at this address: www.bristol.gov.uk/schooladmissions

The preferred method of application is on-line and admissions would prefer you use this method where possible. This is the preferred method of application because:

• The system helps by checking for errors.
• There is no risk that applications will be lost in the post.
• It is quick and easy to do.
• You will receive an immediate email confirming receipt.
• You will receive email notification of the outcome.
