Breakfast and after school

Breakfast club

Lots of our children enjoy arriving early each day to meet up with friends and have a healthy breakfast.

Our breakfast club is staffed by Debbie and Anita who are also lunchtime SMSAs. Children can join in a range of activities catering for all ages including colouring, jigsaw puzzles, board games, as well as just chatting with friends.

Breakfast club is open from 8am-8.45am Monday to Friday, held in the Dining Hall with entry via the main entrance. Children are escorted to their classes at 8.45am.

We charge £1.50 per child, per morning. You can purchase breakfast at a small extra cost. You do not need to book breakfast club, just turn up. For more information, contact the school office.

Afterschool club – Little Gems

Little Gems is run by Sheila Kaur at Glenfrome Primary School. The scheme is fully registered with OFSTED (EY442446).

We’re open every evening afterschool from 3,15pm-5.30pm. We will collect children from their class or the older children come themselves. The older children will only become the clubs responsibility once they have register at the hall.

Following the recent guidance from the Department for Education, we have been working hard to prepare for the safety and welfare of our pupils and staff. We have completed an extensive Risk Assessment to support our planning and I am now in a position to be able to share further information about how this will work. There is a lot of information to share, so please do read this letter carefully.

Late pick up fee

In the event of your child not being collected by 5.30pm, you will be charged late fee of £1.00 per minute. We reserve the right to charge for late collection.

We provide opportunities for play that are natural and allow children to be themselves by exploring and experimenting. We ensure that children are in situations where they cannot fail at play, as there is no right or wrong. This leads to self-esteem and high confidence levels which are essential for future learning. Play is an essential part of preparing young children for learning and adult life
