Our Governing body is responsible for the school’s strategic direction and ensuring that it has a clear vision and ethos. We meet regularly to ensure that Glenfrome is delivering a good quality education and to oversee its financial performance. Along with our Head Teacher and senior leadership team we agree the School Development Plan and review and monitor the progress of that plan throughout the school year with regular reviews and visits to the school.
The Governing body is made up of volunteers and contains a mix of parents, staff and community members, all with different skills and experience, enabling them to make a valued contribution to the school. Each year, we all agree to abide by a Code of Conduct. We have a range of specific Governor roles linked to priority areas for the school, including Safeguarding & Child Protection, Equalities, Health & Safety, Children in Care, Pupil Premium, SEND, Attendance, and Mental Health & Wellbeing. In addition, we support the school with a range of other activities, such as appointing new staff and reviewing policies.
