Special Educational Needs

At Glenfrome Primary School we strive to provide high quality provision that meets the needs of all children – including those with SEND or who are identified as having EAL.

We deliver high quality teaching that is differentiated and personalised, and recognise that some children will need educational provision that is additional to or different from this. This provision will be underpinned by high quality teaching and will be compromised by anything less.

We know our children well, so understand precisely where each child is in their learning and development. Decisions are informed by the insights of staff, parents and, where appropriate, those of children themselves. We have high ambitions and set stretching targets, track progress towards these goals and regularly review the additional or different provision that is made for them.

The Glen Resource Base is an adapted space which includes its own therapy room, sensory room, bespoke outdoor provision as well as three well equipped classrooms. Click here for more about The Glen.

Bristol’s SEND Local Offer

Bristol’s SEND Local Offer website is a single place of information about services and support for children and young people from birth to 25 years old who have Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND), and for their families and carers.

All councils must publish a Local Offer. To tell you what support is available for families of children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). Click here to view.
