Helping in school

At Glenfrome, we believe that parents are children’s first and most important teacher and we value your contribution to your children’s education very highly. We look forward to working together with you to provide the best for your child.

There are loads of ways for you to get involved in school life: from helping out in class, training to become a better reading partner to supporting classes on school trips, swimming and forest school. And of course if you aren’t able to come in to school, you can still have a huge influence on your child’s learning at home.

Any parents who regularly help out in school with go through an induction process to ensure we follow safeguarding procedures.

We love to have and often need parents on school trips, to attend swimming lessons for Year 4, and support Forest School lessons across the school. If you are interested in helping out please let the office or your class teacher know.

And if there’s a way you’d like to get involved that isn’t on this list, then please mention it to your class teacher or to Mrs O’Callaghan – we’d love to hear your ideas!
