I joined Glenfrome’s governing body in spring 2019, and am currently Chair of Governors. My eldest daughter was a Glenfrome pupil from reception through to year 6, and my youngest is currently in year 4. I’ve worked in higher education for nearly 20 years, and since 2011 I’ve been at The Open University, where I’m a Senior Lecturer in Classical Studies. In my day job, I am dedicated to making sure that educational opportunities are open to everyone, and that all students can be supported to fulfil their potential, and this is something I strive to bring to my work with our Glenfrome community as well. It’s a great privilege to work with our outstanding governors and the entire school community to support Glenfrome’s development and its vision of achieving the best possible outcome for every child. I also believe passionately in the importance of the arts and humanities: I love reading, playing in the Bristol Community Big
Band, and trying new crafts, and I get great pleasure from seeing children how thrive when exploring creativity!
