Our school council is a group of children who have been elected by their peers to represent their class. The purpose of the council is to ensure that pupils have opportunities to voice their views and ideas about all aspects of school life; fairness is a core value for us at Glenfrome.
Elections are held annually in Term 1, selecting two children from each class (years 1 – 6). The council itself elect a chairperson and deputies, which takes place at the first meeting of the year. The children run meetings and take minutes, which they then take back to class to share.
