If you apply online please check that you have actually submitted your form. If it's submitted successfully you will receive an email confirmation from School Admissions acknowledging receipt of your application.
Transition to secondary school information
We strongly recommend you visit schools with your child to help you both decide on which schools are best suited to your child. Each school will have open days you can attend. You can choose three preferences so it would be beneficial to have three schools in mind when applying.
All applications for secondary school places must be completed by the end of October. This is to be done online at this address: www.bristol.gov.uk/schooladmissions
The preferred method of application is on-line and admissions would prefer you use this method where possible. This is the preferred method of application because:
- The system helps applicants by checking for errors.
- There is no risk that applications will be lost in the post.
- It is quick and easy to do.
- Applicants will receive an immediate email confirming that their application has been received.
- Applicants will receive email notification of the outcome of their application.
If you do not have access to the internet at home, free on-line facilities are available at all public libraries in Bristol. In addition parents/carers can use the internet at the Citizen Service Point located in Central Bristol. You are also welcome to use the school computers by prior arrangement and a member of staff will be able to help you with this process if needed.
