I am a Parent Governor who recently joined the governing body in 2023. Being a governor at this lovely school brings me joy. I have a daughter in KS1 and a son who will join the school soon. The power of education and its ability to transform and inspire is one of my greatest passions. As an Education researcher I am committed to the study of educational inequalities. I hold a PhD in Education from Cardiff University and specialize in the intersections of race, gender and class. Currently I work at Kings College London as researcher on a project called The Understanding Colourism Amongst Young People. 

Cheryl is a co-opted governor and joined the governing board in October 2023.

I am parent to two children in years 2 and 5 and am enthusiastic about supporting the school and its dedicated staff who work so hard to keep the school running smoothly. Glenfrome has an important and critical role in the local community and I am committed to supporting the school in its vision to support children to be true global citizens. I am particularly keen to ensure that all children are safeguarded well and can fulfil their potential whatever their abilities, background, special educational needs or disabilities as well as ensuring the school is able to achieve its strategic goal of becoming an Outstanding school. 

I have been a HR professional for more than 20+ years with a background in Learning & Development, Project Management and now specialising in Employee Relations for large organisations. I am the link governor for English as an additional Language (EAL) and Pupil Premium (PP).
